1 - You can either dig a hole and replace with a soil-less mix. Perlite, peat moss, vermiculite, that kinda junk. Or depending on the type of soil and where you live, you may not need to really do anything other than till it up and get rid of excess vegetation. At least in the midwest, there are mostly heavy soils with bad drainage. If this is the case, add some perlite and you should be good to go. 2 - As long as they are getting around 6ish hours of direct light a day, they should be fine. If its in the soil though, just water if theres a little dry spell and fertilizers can be added, but as long as you're in a fairly fertile spot, the plant will grow all by itself. You want a higher nitrogen fertilizer for veg and a higher phosphorus for flowering. (look on the fertilizer box or bag or what not there should be there numbers. N-P-K) 3 - What do you need? Well you could get away with a little shovel to get her started and thats it. It all depends on how much effort you want to put into growing. Check out green mans page. On the right side there are a few outdoor guides. Sit down for a few hours and read away my friend. Happy growing.

First, organize your posts so they're easier to read. Next, heres some info to get you started.
Outdoor plants flower when they are good and ready. As the days get shorter in the fall, the plants automatically begin to flower. Go ahead and start some seeds in some regular potting soil with some extra perlite. Don't get pre-ferted soil as it may burn your seedlings. Then, start trying to find a plot to grow on. This plot is of ultimate importance, the quality of the spot will determine your success. When choosing a plot you need to consider a few things: 1 - LIGHT - the plants need to get 8 hrs+ direct sun everyday. You can't put them in the woods, you need a sunny clearing. 2 - SECURITY - make sure they are in an area that you are sure no one will ever go. If you are growing on your own property then hopefully you don't have to worry about this. 3 - ACCESS - how are you gonna get there with supplies? Remember big jugs of water can get heavy. You also might need to bring your own soil depending on the condition of the land. After you find a spot let me know and I'll help you out from there.
