Basically the main things for growing MJ outdoors are to...

-Water it when the soil is touch dry (dip your finger in - if it's dry approx an inch deep then water)
-Give it fertilisers with most amount of Nitrogen (N) (nutrient packed usually have N-P-K written on them ... Do not give them nutrients now, wait till they are atleast 3-4 weeks old
-Since its outdoors you dont need to worry about sunlight which is a good thing..so just let it grow naturally....
-You will probably need to transplant it into a bigger pot IF it's actually in a pot...if it's in the ground then you have nothing to worry about.
-When it starts to flower (although im probably getting a bit ahead of myself ) give it nutrients with the most amount of Phosphate and least Nitrogen...

How's the weather where you live?
What season are you in?

Hope this helps a wee bit

your plant might have a messed up life cycle if it actually gets going into vegging its far to early to plant even though your in Texas the light cycle wont be right for about another month. MJ plants will need 18on/6off of light during its vegetation stage and once the days get down to 12/12 the plant naturally will induce it's self into the flowering stage where the buds will begin to form. Im not sure what your plants will look like by this time in june/july
