is the hole better wide or long????

ok so think about how the roots grow ......would it be best for me to dig a 4 foot hole 10 inches in diameter ....or a hole like wide and long......but also think that the smaller hole would be easier to dig and hide and also the roots would anchore to the dirt wich would make it stronger

long or wide

the hole should be long so that the roots can penetrate deep into the soil.Thats when you see most planting pots are deep rather than wide.

it's not solely about depth, soil and root penetration is a huge factor, the better the native soil the less you have to dig. cannabis grows roots horizontally a few inches from the surface as far as a meter. if you have time on your hands and are growing only a few plants try to grow optimally

That doesn't make it stronger dude. Fertilizing it on time and making sure it's watered makes the plant strong. i've grown in a wide pot and it worked out very well. Make sure you train and dont grow a christmas tree.

for a newb i'd recommend christmas tree style due to the little effort it takes to create the large buds cos of the thick stems, growing bush style is great too if you can get them really strong stemmed, the larger the stem the bigger the bud, remember that. bushes do create lots of bud sites but they are notorious for popcorn buds if not monitered and flowered properly

I was just saying don't get caught. I grew a christmas tree once but it looked so much like pot from even far away I had to tie the lower branches away so it looked a little less symmetrical.
