Where to plant and watering

Quick questions here. I have 120 acres that no one really goes on. About 60 acres of it is corn during the year. On the back side of the corn, there is a gulley that has good creek water. I am in the midwest.

Questions are:

1. Should I transplant in the corn field mixed in with the corn, or, down in the gulley where it is usually moist and water is close?
2. Can I use the creek water? The water is pretty good, I do not know what type of run off in fertilizer there is down into the gulley from the corn field though.
3. Deer, do they eat this? There is a lot of deer here.

I can try transplanting into both areas, but was just wondering if you guys had thoughts on what would work best.

Yea, deer will definitely be a problem. I havn't done an outdoor at ground level, however I know there are tips and tricks to keeping them away. Has something to do with baiting them to other food, or doing something to the ground around it, like bear piss or something, lol. Im sure someone here will have some ideas for ya.

Corn will give you great protection, however the creek will supply you with good water. Is there a way to build a (forgot what its called) but a trough that will allow you to run creek water to the corn area?
Just some ideas, hope you find answers.
Good luck, sorry I cant be of more help.

irragation?

yeah, i guess dog hair spread around should keep deer away...im sure there are other things, i heard if you piss around it, that helps too...idk get creative.

also slugs, i have heard broken glass around the base helps. i am sure there are a bunch of slugs around the creek area...umm...rabbits! rabbits too, dog hair or other methods should work.

i've yet to do an outdoor grow but yeah I have heard a few Ideas in my studies:
1. Start pissing in soda bottles alot, that way you can go back once a week and pour around the plants and always have enough piss on hand.
2. Tie heavy test fishing line all around your plot. one time at waist height and again at around knee height. Supposedly this will keep deer confused enough to keep them out!?
Now remember I havent tried either of these yet so Im not to be held liable! There were other ideas that focused more on rabbits and rats and what not...just cant spark a memory. Go figure........
