30X Jewelers loupe good for looking at trichomes?
would a 30X jewelers loupe magnifying glass be any good to look at the trichomes with? its 10$ and it might be easier to use than the radio shack one thats why im asking. the only thing is it doesnt have a light and would this be a big issue when using it?

one of the better questions i've seen here, definitely worth a reply, unlike the other 95% of questions, the answers to which can be EASILY found by searching the forums....


yet nobody has answered this question. well i say one thing about this almost year and a half old thread...

Well, I guess since it's been another 6 months...

BUMP!!!

Lol, I need to get somekind of magnification tool in the next few weeks. If the 30x loupe isn't enough, what other options should I look for?

10x or 30x is fine. I even looked at trichomes with binoculars turned backwards and real close with a good light.

my radio shack microscope is 60x to 100x.
at 60x it looks good.

I have both kinds. I find that the 100x microscope is a little easier to see detail with, but you can use either.

eBay sells the 30x jewelers loupe for under $11, delivered:

I have one just like it and it does the job.

Aaaannd SOLD! I'm definately going to be picking up one of those radio shack ones... 100x ! PLUS LED? Lol. The little things that excite me.. xD
