Basically no matter where, plant outside after the last frost.
So for yourself the best time will probably be around end april/early may, I always work towards 1st May. As for strain, try "Early Pearl" "Durban" both from sensiseeds, both will do well in Ireland, from memory of the emerald isle your main concern is the amount of rain!! lol As far as soil and ferts go, any good potting compost will do, and use miracle gro plant food, but do not overdo the ferts ok, e-mail me at mcgooner@aol.com and i will send you a growing guide ok. good luck
