TIMBER!! First Lady Chopped 2006
First lady down 2006, here she is hanging in my shed. (Please excuse my collection of Victorian porn hanging behind her.) She is just about ready, about a quarter of the trichomes are amber. She should be dried enough for manicuring in about 5 to 7 days. This girl is number2 of those that showed sex in growing order.

dude, the trichs don't turn amber, it's the hairs, and they should be 3/4 amber for highest thc %. unless you have a mag glass, then it's when the head on the trich's turn's a milky opaque colour. trichomes are the crystals.

your right, very rare strains can, also some rare strains can turn orange, or even black, but this is out of the question.

This jonster is still spouting his rubbish, I see, that is why he remains firmly on my ignore list.
Trichomes, which are NOT crystalline in any shape or form, are structures on the bud and bud leaves which contain the THC and other active ingredients - there are in fact several distinct types of trichomes. As the plant matures the trichomes turn from clear to cloudy to amber. As this happens the high produced on using the plant goes from a more cerebral high to a couchlock high. You chop your plant when the colour of the trichomes matches your wishes - I chop mine when the trichomes are about one third amber. The hairs darken as the plant matures, but this is by no means as good an indication of characteristics. |

Nice spanishfly GLAD everything turned out for you. Sorry jon but there right ALL my strains the trichs turn amberr at peak maturety. If you have never experianced this then you might be cutting down your plants to soon.
