Budding starts. But when does it finish?

When do you start to count the remaining days of budding..... pre hairs? So at first sign of pre hairs, you then count 45 - 60 days from then????

I'm trying to guage when my plants will be done.... is this the best method or is there another way?

Let me know thanks a bunch.

Its not actually down to the days, they are just quoted as a rough idea for each individual strain,
The general rule of thumb is to not harvest before 20% of the pistils (white hairs) have darkened to an orange, red or brownish colour, the more of the pistils that have darkened then the more stoney the high is apparently but I've never let em go too far so can't vouch for that one

The preferred method is to use a small microscope to view the trichomes. I chop when about a third of them are amber.
