Best strains for growing outdoors

My friend and I are thinking about growing a couple MJ plants outside in the back of his house because he has about 90 acres of forest his parents own. We found a pretty good spot that gets sunlight all day.

But my questions is, what kind of strains should we be looking at? I guess we would want something mold resistant. I was looking at purple window seeds from dr chronic because it says good for outdoor growing, but i dont know what other strains would also be good.

Do you guys think it will be too late to start growing toward the begining of september? I live in Florida and it really doesnt get cold at all. I would say the coldest it will get is 65 degrees at midnight in november.

It wouldn't be worth buying seeds this late in the season. Just get some bagseed and plant them you will get a small yeild but thats better than nothing + some experience<-priceless. As for next year you should go ahead and start considering what strain you want to grow and maby order them so you know they will be ready for spring. Outdoors in FL you will not have any limitation on what you can grow because it will be warm in November. Just get an easy strain to grow since its your first time and think about what you want as far as taste, yeild, bag appeal, and potency.

thats good advice i was going to say the same thing... first grows should not be any special seeds especially this late (even though florida is warm the days are not as long as they could be in spring)

So what time should i start trying to grow them outdoors? Around febuary-march of next year? I was thinking of trying to grow some purple window, blueberry, snow white, super skunk, white widow, and hindu kush. Theres others i have in mind but i cant really think of them right now. Ill probably try about 6 different strains when we grow. I guess i will try to grow some bag seed this weekend and see how it turns out.

Damn dude i would love to see some picts of a plant growing for seven months under the Florida sun!!! Itd be fucken gigantic . I bet you could plant them as late as june and still get a decent harvest. But its yield is better the longer they veg.

Too bad you missed this year, but that just means youll really be ready for next year.

I was thinking about just putting them in pots. Im not too worried about getting a huge yeild, because im really not planning on selling the bud. Its going to be mainly for personal use with my friends, but i will sell some to people im close too for cheap. Im not trying to turn this into a big drug dealing type thing. I figure we cant get decent bud around here for a reasonable price so i might as well try to grow it and hooked up all my friends for free/really cheap.

Awww man. Grow em in the ground!

When you have alot of weed, you smoke more, esp. if its free. In pots theyll just get rootbound after so long...sorry i just love big ass pot plants.

You dont have to be a dealer to have big plants. Im not, and my plants are over 5 feet tall. Im pretty sure yours could reach 10 feet or more, as long as you dont mess up.

Itd make for nice picts atleast. Good luck whatever u decide to do

Maybe i will plant one of each strain in the ground. Is it possible for choppers to see the plants even if they are in thick forest? This girl i work with said something about them having special cameras or some crap like that and those cameras detect marijuana plants easy. I really dont think thats true, so i figure you guys would know? I live in a real small town and come to think about it i have never seen a chopper here in the 1.5 years ive been here, we dont even have a police department
