double harvest outdoors...possible?

Hey fellas. I was reading some old books i got and i came across what is called a "double harvest". It basically says that it should be done indoors ideally, but if a frost is still a few weeks away, it can be done outside. Since my plants have been flowering for a lil while (they started much earlier than my bagseed plants), they should be done around early septemeber. Frost doesnt set in around here until october-NOV. So im wandering what is behind a double harvest, and has any1 done it outside b4? It basically said you just clip off the main colas and leave some small buds and leaves on the plant. it said its suppose to rejuvenate and flower again, giving you another harvest that is smaller than the first. Can anyone help me on this? I would love to do it if possible, the more buds the better right? thanks alot guys

double harvesting is best done in southern areas. i have seen it done up to 4 times indoors. if you try to get a double harvest, most likely it wont produce as much...but if you bring that plant in over the winter and veg it again untill spring and then put it back out by the next fall you will have one huge ass plant with some gigantic buds.

are you talking about choping then re-veging? if so, its possible but plauged w/ problems. I did it once. I had mold and root rot though-out my crop. it was a nightmare and a waste. I personally dont recomnd it. cloning is WAY better! Peace, TBug

hey fly! long time....
As i re-read the question, I feel i do that ALL the time. I clip ALL the "big budds" first and let the lower ones develope further till the trichrome match the first. This gives me more weight and a more consistant prodct.

Just stay away from the reveg thing, it sucks! ....peace, TBug

this is how a double harvest works

you will need to veg a plant for atleast 30 to 60 days then place outside in mid March to early April and let it flower thru May and then start to bring it inside during its final weeks for 12 hours in June then once its done flowering in June stick it back outside to reveg for a few months and bam around August you should see more pre flowers then the buds will come packin on and what do you kno a harvest in October

the 2nd harvest should be bigger then the first as the plant has more places its been trimmed and more "light" from the sun then we can ever give it inside

IŽll forget it then. My plants and their pots are much too big and heavy for me to move them into the house.

...

i didnt think this process had that much to do with revegging. The book i read it in said that u simply cut off all the main buds, leaving some leaves and smaller buds on the plant. then it said after like 2-4 weeks those little buds will get much bigger. like i said u have to still have a few weeks before the frost, so either if u live in a southern state or if u have a very early flowering variety. So im not sure if we're talking bout the same thing, but i dont think it had anything to do with revegging indoors and all that, but i duhno. I will look in the book and get exactly what it says today. I would love to increase the amount of buds i get
