serious AK47-top or not to top?

I am groing 10 AK-47 from serios seeds under 800W hps in soil. Ihave had 7 show sex witth preflowers (4F/3M) and 3 uncertain. They are roughly 3.5 weeks old(from seed) and I am planning on switching to 12/12 on the 11th or 12th of August so they will have another 2 weeks of vegging.

I have never grown this strain and was wondering if for top yield should I top the plant or not???

My buddy has been doing AK outdoors for about 4 years now and they love being topped. All the plants that weren't topped averaged about 1.5 lbs per and all the toped plants yielded over 2 lbs each. last year we grew 2 plants that were an AK-47, Durban Poison cross that did nearly 3 lbs per. So this year most of what he and I have is AK Durban crosses.

Actualy Im growing indoors under 800W hps...I just wasnt paying attention and clicke the outdoor forum instead. My bad.

Im assuming the same trend would apply...the plants like to be topped.

Any other personal exeriences with topping AK47 from serious seeds???
