2 unrelated questions about lst and harvest...

ok my 1st quick question is: if plants are in a bucket, and they are about 3 feet tall, how can they be lsted? if i tied them over to something on the ground, will they possibly break from hitting the side of the bucket when rain falls or wind comes? i just dont want them to break b/c of something i did u know? but i def. want to lst them? maybe im thinking too hard on it, but i want to make sure that they are lsted correctly. Also, if a plant is vegged for about 2 months and is roughly 3-3.5 feet, can it produce its fullest potential yeild? or does it need the whole summer? im confused about vegging time a little, i hear most people getting like 4-8 ounces of dry bud on average from a plant outdoors, and im j/w if thats possible off a plant vegged for 2 months and is like 3.5 feet tall - or do u guys get that yeild off of like 6 foot monsters that have been growing all year lol? again, i know theres many variables, but do u guys have any thoughts or experience that make me understand more?

You could use yarn(dont tie this on tightly.) to tie around the plants and then duct tape to secure both ends of the yarn to the buckets. I hope thats a clear enuff explanation. I had seen someone use party ribbons instead of yarn...it was quite colorful. And actually ribbons, all jokes aside, are good for LSTing. Because they are wider even then yarn, which spreads the tension over a greater area, making it less likely for it to bite into the stem.

I unfortunately dont have the thread bookmarked, i dont even remember what forum i saw the picts on.

MJ is very resilient and it bends easily. But if you tie it down so far that its at the limits of its flexibility and then it gets bumped with alot of force, then it might break. If youre worried about it, dont overbend them, leave some slack. I wouldnt think they would snap from the wind.

Hope that helps

if you dont want to tie them down then top them. i have topped this bushy indica of mine twice and it is a freakin shrub, topping is better imo
