Ron Paul: Would legalize marijuana

Discussion in 'Marijuana News' started by Tudo, Jan 19, 2012.

  1. Ron Paul has had a 30 year track record of taking his oath defending freedom and the Constitution seriousely and has at times, often times been the lone voice in government defending our rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I personally find it shameful a country that will wreck peoples lives by putting them in a cage with criminals because they smoke a plant that's been proven not harmful ( even if it was which it isn't, is not relevant ) then sending military and occupying countries telling us we're there to "help them" find freedom ( they use the word democracy which of course is not freedom ). I am aware of how romney treated that poor man who weighed less than 80 pounds and was in a wheelchair when he simply asked romney if he would put him and his doctor in jail to which romney very sarcastically said " I don't believe in medical marijuana, bye". Who is it that supports this dirtbag?

Here's a short interview with Dr Ron Paul, the real deal who delivered newspapers and worked his way thru school, married to the same woman for 52 years, who has delivered more than 4,000 babies in his medical practice, who can be counted on to tell us the truth with none of the b/s we hear from everybody else, when asked about what he would do regarding the federal law on marijuana.

Here's the good doctor on leno a few weeks ago:
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47P6xwi8rPQ"]Ron Paul on Tonight Show with Jay Leno & Joe Rogan Part 1 of 2 - YouTube[/ame]

Contrast what Dr Paul would do about the federal law on marijuana with any of the other candidates. Romney seems like he would rather we suffer chronic pain torture and lock us up for seeking just a little relief by using marijuana, while Gingrich would want to put everyone in some kind of "program" AFTER we are locked up, to make our minds right. Obama is a liar that can't be trusted as well and that leaves Perry. All of them with the sole exception of Ron Paul will seek to tax you and I more in the future to build an ever larger military presence overseas which means more wars, more dead, more bankruptcy, less freedom.

If you haven't do so, please research the candidates and compare what they truly believe in and how they've demonstrated those believes thryout there lives. Please go to youtube for example where you'll find MANY more video's about Dr Paul and the beauty of the internet, something that unfortunately is the main reason why the older set, 65 and older are voting the way they are voting as they are not on the internet and therefore do not have access to unbiased information . But we are and we do. It's up to us to try and save America.

Far as voting , if you want more wars, laws, drone strikes in other countries, more death and destruction , more socialism, less individual rights, less prosperity and an ever weaker dollar definitely do not vote for Ron Paul.

On the other hand if you want peace, if you want America to go back to being an ambassador of good will, peace and trade while maintaing a strong defence while stopping the unconstitutional wars, a stronger dollar, more opportunities, more jobs, more freedom then please research Dr Paul as much as you can and you'll see why the establishment hate him and why supporters seem to be everywhere.
While I just signed up to the forum tonight, I saw the thread about Romney dissing the medical marijuana patient and had to post about a fellow who is completely the opposite of every single one of the others who I personally have nothing nice or positive to say about because of who they have proven themselves to be.

    :hello:

  2. Also, Dr Paul left campaigning in South Carolina today to return to Washington to vote against the internet bill. He is the ONLY candidate who has taken a position against these bills which are against freedom. We must support this man who is the only friend we have in the race on any team.

Yes he's on the republican ticket , he had to run somewhere and the only shot we're "allowed" it seems are the two monopolies. But the hierarchy and "establishment" in those parties hate Dr Paul AND us, while it was shown in NH that he got significant support from democrats and independents. The people are behind him the corporations are against him. He does NOT ACCEPT lobbyist money and is the only member of Congress best I can tell who doesn't. They all sell us down the river. Not Dr Paul.

    It's our last chance people.

  3. yes he will legalize marijuana, but you must understand he will do way more then that. He is an advocate for liberty on all fronts, not just your personal decisions with marijuana. That is the real golden ticket with this man.

  4. Ron Paul only GOP candidate to publicly denounce SOPA
GOP presidential candidate and Texas Rep. Ron Paul came out Wednesday in support of the “blackout” efforts taking place across the Web protesting pending anti-piracy legislation many have decried as an Internet censorship effort.

Protect IP, or PIPA, is the Senate version of the House Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA). Wikipedia, Reddit, Google and many other sites engaged in a “blackout,” or self-censorship, on Wednesday in protest of the bills.

Supporters of the bills argue that strong legislation is needed to combat the piracy of U.S. intellectual property through foreign based websites. Opponents have blasted the bills as a form of Internet censorship, and the wrong approach to tackle what many view as a real economic problem.

As of 6 p.m. EST Wednesday evening, Paul was the only GOP candidate to denounce the bills, which have caused an uproar throughout the Internet community; Paul made a statement through a Facebook status update, saying:

“My campaign, and the entire freedom movement, would not be as strong as they are today without a free Internet, and that’s just one of the reasons why the establishment hopes to censor it with SOPA and PIPA. I’m proud to see so many taking a stand today. Contact your representative and senators and tell them to oppose these disastrous bills.”

Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum, Rick Perry and Newt Gingrich – at least on Facebook and Twitter — were silent on the issue, and instead devoted their social media platforms to further campaign against one another.

Paul’s son, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, also came out Wednesday pledging to filibuster PIPA, which Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has promised to bring to the Senate floor on January 24.

Both Dr Paul and his son are on our ( the people) side.

I guess you've never heard of a ghost writer, all thought I wouldn't doubt it because you express blind faith in Obama, even though he is the biggest piece of shit corporatist president we've ever seen. But he's half black so he can't do any wrong, am I right? Obama fulfilled 503 of 508 promises? Yeah fucking right.

^100 ways Obama is just like Bush

Become educated in matters before acting like you know it all, it'll make you come off as at least semi-intelligent.

To get back on topic, Ron Paul wouldn't legalize weed. He'd leave it up to the states to decide, and he'd end the War on Drugs and pardon all non violent drug offenders.

  10. Ron Paul would let your state decide whether marijuana should be legalized.
What has Obama done for the cause of legalizing the blessed herb ?

  11. “The role of the federal government is to protect our liberties. That means they should protect our religious liberties to do what we want; our intellectual liberty, but it also should protect our right to do to our body what we want, you know, what we take into our bodies.”
Ron Paul on the Jay Leno Show, Dec. 2011

“This war on drugs has been a detriment to personal liberty and it’s been a real abuse of liberty, Our prisons are full with people who have used drugs who should be treated as patients — and they’re non-violent.
Someday we’re gonna awake and find out that the prohibition we are following right now with drugs is no more successful, maybe a lot less successful, than the prohibition of alcohol was in the ’20s.”

  13. i feel stupid dumb grasscity...i apologize to anyone for disrespecting them and feeding this great forum lies.

i said Dr Ron Paul was a racist because of some racist newsletters, which i hadn't read but heard about, big mistake there on my part.

I've been researching and he supports everybody, especially blacks lmao, and thats crazy good.

i think he should be nominee, because he deserves to debate President Obama hands down, and he has a great chance to win, but i do wanna see Obama for a 2nd go to finish the job or help it, and the Doc come next and that will be the New America for sure!

Unfortunately, if he does/did run as a third party candidate you would almost guarantee Obama would win the election. He tried the Libertarian route and that got him no where. Given that Obama has flip flopped on his mm stance Obama would be no better than the Republican candidates as far as mm goes. Its a lesser of two evils choice for us now I believe. Paul and the other Republicans by far have the only viable plans for bettering the economy which for the majority of us is the primary concern or should be this election cycle. MM, Gay rights, abortion and all the other premises that candidates like to rally around are so insignificant in the grand scheme of things compared to economic recovery. I am an Independent that intends to support Paul until he is out of the race or prevails. In any event I am on the stance of anybody but Obama.

Oh, if you Californians rally around Paul given that Obama screwed y'all over on the MM laws your State put in place and deliver California to the "Republican" side it will go a long way and speak volumes and might even give Paul the edge he needs. You guys have a lot of electoral votes!

    Peace my GC friends
