Like i said, i agree w/ you on principle. I'm not advocating lying to a child. i'm advocating keeping things away from children that they arent capable of comprehending. Theres only so much you can explain, and frankly.. children that grow up with the ,"do it because i said so" rationale grow up to be monsters as well. When they have a sense of self awareness as well as the awareness of the world around them, by all means sit down and have a chat. Explain whats up with all that.

TheColonel: You may think it is immature because it just creates a bad rep for Marijuana legalization activists, but protests are probably worse in terms of the "exposure to children" you speak of. A protest would be shown on many news channels, depicting a scene of thousands of people with various weed paraphernalia and such. Fuck, there cud even be a giant weed float for all we know. So now you tell me. Whats worse, a few kids from the suburbs seeing weed on ahouse or hundreds of thousands of kids seeing stoners screaming to smoke more weed legally? Dont get me wrong, im no ways against protests, i just thought i shud point that out for you...

the problem with that logic is they will find out somehow and usually it's by finding the parents stash

you're also looking at it as a never ending cycle by assuming a child can't understand based on what a 'child' is defined as now

if you raised the child openly you may come to find it's already sorting out complex issues (least to a tainted elders mind lol) in very simple logistical ways

keeping at this sorta hide it till we decide (read we're comfortable telling them) when they'll understand creates a pretty crappy homelife

I know where you all are coming from and i totally respect that, but till its legal i'm keeping my kids away from it. they wont find my stash unless they know how to crack a 5" thick safe

edit* i think your putting words in my mouth ars. its pretty clear when a child is capable of understanding things. for the first 4-5 years of that child's life, you are there almost 100% of the time. If you are in tune with them, and you're a good parent, it will work out just fine.

I think 5 years ago, i might have jumped on the bandwagon with this guy, but frankly i'm just fed up w/ dimwits making us look stupid. Plus, we dont need to change the minds of the voters. They're all on our side. We need to change the minds of o those old derepit stooges in the supreme court. That takes more than a pretty paint job. I'm glad to see that this guy at least is an advocate of the uses of hemp... though getting caught with 100 plants wasnt too bright.
