JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Jacksonville officials say a high school teacher was found dead in his home where he was growing marijuana.

Terry Hannabas didn't show up for work at Terry Parker High School for two days.

So police went to check up on him. That's when they found the 55-year-old dead in the bathroom.

Police found marijuana growing in two bedrooms of the house. They seized 76 marijuana plants, two scales, an odor elimination device, rolling papers, a bong, several pipes and three tanks of carbon dioxide.

Police also found a pistol, a rifle and ammunition.

Foul play is not suspected, but authorities have not determined a cause of death.

Duval County schools spokeswoman Brenda English says that Hannabas worked for the school district for 21 years and taught at Terry Parker since 1998.
