110 Pounds Of Highly Potent Marijuana Seized In Traffic Stop

A Washington state man faces drug charges after his arrest in Wyoming for allegedly transporting 110 pounds of high-quality marijuana.

Gabriel Kaguras, 26, of Monroe, was stopped by a Wyoming Highway Patrol trooper about two miles west of Moorcroft on Interstate 90 after he failed to signal a lane change.

During the traffic stop, the trooper requested assistance from the nearby Crook County Sheriff's Department and asked for a drug-sniffing dog to check the rental car that Kaguras was driving. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 align=right border=0><TBODY><TR><TD></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

The dog alerted to the scent of marijuana and a search of the vehicle turned up 110 pounds of highly potent "BC Bud" marijuana in large suitcases and duffle bags.

Troopers said "BC Bud" is grown indoors hydroponically in the British Columbia area. It is usually of a very high quality and has a higher street value compared to locally-grown marijuana.

The 110 pounds of marijuana seized in the Wyoming traffic stop was valued at $880,000.

Investigators determined that Kaguras was transporting the marijuana from the Seattle area and was heading to the Chicago area.

Kaguras faces felony charges of transporting and possessing the illegal drug shipment.

Text Signatures: 4 lines normal size OR 8 lines small size and up to 90 chars per line. Font sizes above 2 are not allowed. For images in signatures: 1 image up to 300 pixels wide, 125 pixels tall and 20k in size.
