i am all for legalization,a nd hope that its govt regulated to save our economy. hopfully theyll sell some brickweed, middies, so we the real growers can stillk make some extra $$. but in the mean time, i have figured out how to travel with weed safely, but i need to find a certain container, to put the weed in, i know this container has to be : non-porous, and non-permeable. this type of container will not release any scent cones for a k-9 to hint on. i have no idea where to find a container with these qualities. so are thier any educated ones here to answer this question or should i hop on a physics forum?

Nothing can block the scent of marijuana from dogs. And don't mind the people being dicks to you, it's mostly because this question has been asked before.


As far as dogs not being able to smell it, you have to get lucky. Dog's can, and will zone in on the smell regardless of what it's in.

Unfortunately the only way to prevent a dog from picking up a scent would be to get something like those "Space Bags" except more durable. Then carefully place your stash in the bag and vacuum seal it. Wash your hands like 20 times before touching the bag again.
Then you would pretty much have to bath the bag in acid or some kind of alcohol to kill all traces of the scent on the bag. Then you should be all good to go.

However, I realize this is a long a drastic procedure to prevent the dogs from picking up on the scent. But it doesn't get much easier if you want to be completely safe.
You could also put the weed in a air tight ziplock then in a vacuum sealed jar (same method as canning vegetables), and in another vacuum sealed jar, stuffed with padding (to prevent breakage). Next you take the jar over an open flame and heat it (not enough to melt the padding) to remove traces of scent. And finally give it an iso. bath and let it sit and dry.

Again, drastic but I can't see many other options...those dogs have some good sniffers.

i thought of something but it may require a few things.

grab a cooler, a glass jar, big ziploc freezer bags, maybe a big sealable tuperware bowl, some ice, and a 12 pack of soda.

now get your bud and put it in the glass jar. double bag the glass jar with ziplocs. if its big enough put it in a sealable tupperware bowl. now put that bunch of stuff in the bottom of the cooler. put lots of ice overtop, and place sodas covering the bowl but looking just like regular sodas at the same time. maybe give the cooler a once over with axe and presto!

Trick the cop, not the dog.

Nothing will really hide the smell from dogs, but if you put conceal your stash properly near something like meat, the dog is going to be insane trying to choose between the two.

Easy. Don't smoke in your car and keep it from stinking up your car and you will be fine. Police won't search your car if they don't find any incriminating evidence first (at least they are not supposed to).

Heard cat hair will aid in a dog search of your car, the dog allegedly gets distracted by the smell of a cat. Unless you drive like and idiot and smoke in your car, or both at the same time, the cops shouldn't pull you over.

smartest thing you can do is do your absolute best to obey all traffic laws at all times.

Only time I've ever been busted was when I also happened to go over the speed limit. Had I not committed the first infraction there would have been no reason to discover the second.

As for stashing, I've always just used mason jars. Ziplocked and then jarred for the super stinky.

and about tricking dogs, be careful about the super fine residue that results from handling buds. They pick up on the super minute.

Gloves. ziplock. new pair of gloves, put ziplock into a second ziplock. change gloves. Put entire contraption in larger size mason jars. put em all in a regular old box, tape it shut and call it good. Or put all the jars in a gym bag, whatever you've got.

Sure everything leaks scent eventually. Though I spend most of my energy on being a good driver if I have a single thing on me because not having an interaction with the police at all is worth all the preventive measures in the world.

Glass jars leaking vapors? Maybe because the seal on the lid is not airtight, but certainly not because gasses pass through the glass. I'm calling bullshit on that one.

As far as a smell proof container goes, I've seen extra thick double ziplock bags that are made to keep your herb in. Stash bags or something, I'll have to look around. I still think a mason jar is going to keep in the smell better than anything.

just put your weed in an air and water proof container with a string on it, and put it in your windshield fluid container under the hood . no dog or bacon will ever find it.
