Im sorry but that dude's got it right. Marijauana ships out of BC and is transported to the US, where it's price is inflated by about 100% and is sometimes traded for one k of cocaine in NY. This is shipped back to Canada and sold for about $35,000. Yeah dude that's how it works the dude's right

The prices of products vary greatly from region to region according to supply. That's why one group will trade goods with one from another region because they seek supplies to fill a demand. Both sides make a profit because the goods that they seek are in short supply. The farther a product travels the more it will cost.

Making marijuana legal won't decrease the demand for cocaine on either side, however, it would decrease the amount of profits that fall into the hands of hardened criminals that use them to start up other business/criminal ventures.

Now why would a guy in Florida trade $3000 worth of crack to me,if he can transport it and sell it for $5000 in New York?

think of it like this. In BC there is a FUCKLOAD of weed. seriously. if you can't find weed there you are probably legally retarded. Since supply is so fucking high, measures have to be taken to keep the demand at a certain level. In this case, marijuana is a consumerist product (one that people demand not because of its luxury, but because a combination factors). that term varies from place to place by the way. I would trade marijuana for coke because once I take it back to BC it's going to be worth more than it would be worth to sell MJ in BC OR New York.

legalization would be nice and all that, but you have to remember that the gov makes revenue thru courts charging you for the 'crimes' you commit. when they realize they could make more money once legalizing, they will. they dont want to give up their court generated revenue.
