this is some horse crap. im 19 years old, turning 20, and legally allowed to buy and consume cigarettes in new jersey. i should be allowed to buy any tobacco, or tobacco related product, regardless of flavor. they're argument that flavored tobacco and tobacco products is an allure to first time smokers is flawed.

if they are concerned about under age kids smoking tobacco, the government should be doing more to prevent the tobacco from getting into their hands in the first place, rather than punishing those who are allowed by law to consume said products.

i fell this is a serious breach of my constitutional rights, and feel this is only the first of many to come.

see, there are two flaws with your idea though...

first, it makes perfect sense... and we can't have that in government.

second, it would mean they'd have to start regulating the tobacco industry harder than it is and making sure they're following the rules... and they can't have that either. there's a lot of money going from Phillip Morris and other tobacco companies right into congress' pockets. we all know that senators and congressmen don't get paid enough money, they need that money so they can make it look like they're doing their jobs.

won't someone please think of the congressmen?!

True say. To many kids smoke. Seriously, at school (I'm grade 13

), all the 9s and 10s think theyre so cool, sittin there, 14 years old, already with a smokers cough. Cool cats.

i love government control! i feel oh so free when this happens. Fuck how many kids arn't going to smoke now because flavors are banned like 10? is that really worth it.

I work at a gas station and most underage kids ask for Newport 100s or like Marb Reds, we dont even sell flavored cigs or papers, i doubt this will have much affect on kids, no one smokes because it taste good ESPECIALLY younger kids. I honestly have a hard time believing anyone that enjoys the taste, they do it to do it for what ever reason.

But as a pot smoking i dont do much joint rolling and usually dont get flavored stuff, i love the taste of my weed

but im against any gov control so im on your guys side.

You forgot that tobacco companys are forced to campagin agasint the products they sell.

Don't you love hypocrisy, It's government's speciality on all things; Mostly on drug issues however.
