damn there was a 20,000 plant bust in my county 2 or 3 summers ago and two months ago there was 12,700 plant bust

They busted compassionate grower Eddie Lepp up in clear lake not 2 hours from where I live for growing 29,000 plants out in the open all completely legal under California law per Proposition 215 citing section 11362.5 of the California Health and Safety Code.

Sentenced him to 10 years in prison even though he was providing medicine at $30 an ounce to his patients.

Holy shit man that's so ridiculous, but seriously 29,000 plants? That's really taunting the DEA and it's never a good idea to do that, because in essence you are spitting in their faces. Plus, i thought compassionate growers couldn't have more than 12 immature plants and 6 matures at one time, per patient? Or is it higher up in Clear Lake?

He had 2,000 patients that he was caregiver for. All the cannabis was spoken for by patients.

None of it was really making cash, really now, $30 an ounce. That just covers costs.

That's a very interesting story, I think that the medical marijuana "business" should be run more like this to save the hassle of establishing clubs in cities where permits are hard to get and easy to lose. Where i live, there is plenty of rural land and i know a lot of people grow outdoors in the summer due to our great weather, and i would love to see a huge plot like this on the side of the highway. The DEA needs to stop trying to make these huge busts look like they are taking a bite out of the market; this guy had plenty of customers, but it's not like they can't get there bud anywhere else. But at 30 bucks an ounce, that's quite a steal.

Man i wonder if the cops are monitoring this sight and reading peoples grow threads to see if it was someones grow on here. Like you know cops come threw here and what not, What if i posted up an random adress and said it was mine? lol
Ill just give them like my worst enemies adress and make a full confession. lol
But seriously, I wonder if the cops monitor these type of threads..
It really is a shame to see that much Beautiful Mary jane flatened. Even if it was hermie or male. I bet all the plants that were left were male and he was prbably going to harvest all the seeds for a bigger grow. haha.

Our culture is in full bloom and they cannot contain it. The DEA itself said it doesn't have the resources to go after grow ops less than 100 plants or more, and this was years ago.

Honestly, if your not a BIG fish with like 500-1,000 plants or some shit the DEA could care less and if your a medical grower in cali and within your limits then most counties are actually ON BOARD so...yeah.
