This is kind of cool. Sucks they got busted, but the sentences were very lenient. There shouldn't be any, but it's a step forward.

I know the lawyer in this article. He may very well be the only Honest lawyer in America. A real cool guy. I've hired him a few times, and I actually had to make him bill me the last time. LSS, my ex sued me, She lost big time. Her 1st attorney quit, her 2nd should have. He's a friend of my parents, so he refused to charge me. I finally talked him into sending a bill.

If they believed that 79 could be for personal, and gave out 2 years probation, and no jail time, They shouldn't even worry about my 8. If they bust me, They will prolly just give me a big 'ol supportive hug.

at the top it says like a 1,000 fine, but i think thats a typo, this is what it says at the bottom.

A $10,000 street value fine is among the fines and court costs Neal was assessed in addition to 48 months probation. He also must complete drug treatment

Quite a bit. I'm from the area, but I moved. I still have family and friends there, and I visit a lot.

im sure most of these small fronts are alittle more rampant than one would suspect, there are more than a few shady businesses in the area that hardly seem to have any customers. It really makes me wonder how a business with no legit revenues could stay open. Im sure this happy splashes swimming place maybe different, but it really makes me think, "hmm they could be growing pot in the basement" type a deal when i see a business that screams "drug front"

My uncle got 4 years in prison for possesing a 1/2 oz. 20 years ago. He got busted in Bloomington, and they said he had 2 lbs. They weighed anything in his house that could have been used for mj.

It's nice to see the sentences coming down. Next step is to do away with them alltogether.

bloomington was a nice city until (i heard) they cracked a deal with chicago where they moved down a bunch of project residents, and increased the population of lower class african americans. Ever since then ive heard ISU residents especially the ladies are basically scared to walk the streets at night.

peoria is a nice little city imo, although im sure college ladies wouldnt be walking the streets in the hood at night either

They didn't strike a deal. The governor (the one in prison) did that. Bloomington isn't the only place that got them. Springfield, Pontiac, Champaign, and about 10 other towns, Peoria too. They are former CHA people that had their buildings in Chicago leveled for parking lots. Maybe you have Bloomington/Normal mixed up with Springfield.

No Offense, but Peoria has been a shithole for as long as I can remember. The projects were and are much worse. As far as walking alone at night, you can't do that in a town of 250, let alone a city with 100,000 plus. The only thing cool about Peoria was when they still cruised Main St. Don't know how old you are, or how long you lived there, but the city put a stop to it in the late 80's. There were some good times up there. I'll give ya the bar closing times and Big Al's. Club Caboret is cool too, but thats Creve Couer.

Crime has risen in B/N, but I think they are still way behind Peoria. I know we are way behind Springfield.

why yall scared of low income blacks?? if they threaten you or try to harm you, fight back...Stop acting scared and dont act like such a fuckin pussy........im white and i go to high school where the races are like this: 50 % black, 35 % latino, and and 15 % other.....I only attend that school cuz of basketball as its a powerhouse basketball school and the coach and assit coach recuited me to go there 4 years ago...imma senior and going 2 college next year fyi if any1 stupidly would assume imm under 18 which i am as i am 18 right now lol....well anyways, ive been in like 4 big fights at school..3 of them with big black dudes. They try to use intimidation and scare tactics, but the way you beat them is by initially having having the confindence and apperance that your not a bitch, you have to believe you will win and land they punches. you have to be assertive in a fight......Trust me, ive seen countelss, maybe 20-25 fights that white kids or little latino kids getting fucked up and getting the shit beat out of them by these low income blacks.....well, i am an observant person, probably stemming from my smoking, and observed that 90 % of those fights were because the white or latino kid acted like a pussy and wasnt mentally prepared to go to battle in a fight...they r scared, i dont know why...shit like this has bothered the fuck out of me....its like black ppl hav some sort of genetic advantage when it comes to athletic performance whether on the hooping court or in a fight.....
