This report is kinda bullshit. For one, note the small sample size, all of whom were lung cancer patients. Maybe these people smoked cigarettes, maybe they had a genetic propensity toward getting lung cancer. Plus, they were comparing FILTERED cigarettes to UNFILTERED joints. I smoke cigarettes and know for a fact that smoking an unfiltered cigarette is the equivalent of about 3 filtered cigarettes. Plus, they assume that pot smokers hold their hits in- some people do that, but many just exhale after a few seconds.
Basically, this comparison is invalid.

It's all genetics. Some people can smoke a lifetime and not die. Some people will smoke for less than 10 years and get cancer. The best thing you can do it make edibles or use at least a vape. Find out if you family has any previous history with cancer. Then roll the dice but don't believe just because some study says you wont get cancer that you won't.

The only way to really know about the research is to read the whole thing. From what I've read, most of this research is flawed in many ways, including very small groups to study.
But really, ya hv to know how to read this crap so you can see how data was manipulated, and so on.
I've seen flawed research that even had adequate "P-scores." So, it's all so inconclusive.
I betcha the fumes from our cars cause more cancer than anything. . .ya see them taking away our cars? Not yet, anyway.
They'll ban smoking all over the damned place, but you can still pollute the air with your car. . .and that's OK, right?

From what I understand there's never been a case where cancer was caused directly from smoking weed. If you think about it if alot of the hippies that are still smoking weed from the 70's would be getting cancer I think the government would be reporting it.

the only thing wrong with that theory is that not one person in the history of mankind has reported lung cancer from marijuana alone. thats just like the people who say cell phone "radiation" can give you cancer, its never happened to anyone, but they still think its true.

just cause it doesn't kill you doesn't mean it's not bad for you. i mean, people used to think DDT was perfectly safe- kids would frolic in the mist when DDT trucks would come through the suburbs to spray in the summer. i don't believe that marijuana's particularly bad for you, and the benefits totally outweigh the risks, but you shouldn't assume...

plus, i read the report and 70 out of 79 patients surveyed smoked tobacco. clearly, it was impossible for the researchers to make any conclusions about CANNABIS's effects on the respiratory system without a control group

Marijuana can be bad for anyone. If not being smoked responsibly. Sort of like drinking alcohol. If it's not done responsibly, then it can kill you.
