you dont need a reflector but you need the rest of the light system u cant screw an MH or HPS light into a normal light socket look at pics of my grow and u can see the light (HPS) without a reflector and a big thing connected to the bulb lol you need one of those

yeah you can find some cheap ones on ebay like 100 bucks for a 400 watter i think theres a 150 watt one for something like 80 im gonna buy
