LED lights with pics

Looks like u got a good set up goin on mate, what strains u growin under those led's?
At the moment im planning my first grow ive got a quadband triband 50w led panel onm order should be here by friday!
Im planning on growing Easy ryder for my first grow, how would u think it would grow under this particular light?

i'm really interested in doing an LED grow but i have no idea where to get any lights. I'm really hoping to build my own, where is everyone getting their LEDs/premade panels?

id have to recommend anything from hydro-grow-led over all other companies; especially for the price and result. most other companies try to make a killing off the price...

what about any places with just the LEDs? That's a bit pricey for my budget, I was thinking of these with some CFLs maybe.

im shur the sites wiht just LED's are just as expence as buying one maybe alittle cheaper, and ud have to do tons of reserach about what types of light to use and what degree they are shaped at and the blue to red ratio ect... ur better off just saveing money and ordering one. just wait till everyone fineshes up their led grow journals and u can find out what one is the best lol

Are led lights good for flowering only? or both veg and flower?

Red is better for flowering, blue is better for veg. You'll notice that most have some combination of the two. The best results I've seen from any are from the UFO. Though it's come down in price, it's still pretty expensive, and now they have an even larger one. I've recently started a project myself, but as it's my first time, and a stealth grow, I've decided to only do one plant at a time. At this scale, I've found that cfl's should do best, while still keeping price, and more importantly, heat down.

Awsome thanks...im only using CFLs and im one week into flowering...is there anything i can add to increase the yield and quality? Its my first grow and im not trying to spend a lot of money. I have 2 plants, which are hopefully both females...

if u dont wanna spend money u should look else where for a hobbie lol or do it out doors lol but just add more clfs and watch temps the more light the better id still say save up for a LED. and never go with a ufo version waste of time and less coverage area

but I'm a newb who's never got 1lb cola under a 400w HPS.
The LED's I'm using are giving me parallel results to the 400w HPS they replaced.

I can get about an ounce per plant with a 3 gallon pot under the 400 HPS. I am neither a patient nor a cash cropper but, we can't talk about dealing here on GC anyway so.... As for amount to equal 400 hps if one LED is 3 watts then I guess one would need at least 134 LED's to equal a 400 hps AT LEAST.

SBH971, and anyone else iinteresteed in growing as cheap as possible.

After I bought my UFP 90 I ran into an old friend who had been growing in a 2 x 2 x 5 closet using only CFLs. He said it was 50K lumens, which is only 10+ @ 150 watt equivalent CFLs, plus receptacles and wiring- maybe $125 total plus a little labor.

He grew 18 ounces off one plant! I think the key is how many lumens per cubic foot AND the more lumens the more food they need.
