It sucks. Don't use any MG products. Go to a hydro shop and getting quality materials. Your plants will thank you and you'll like the taste of the buds a lot better.

This is my first post here. Thank-you everyone for all the information I have read. I did plant mine in mg before I joined this site... Here are some pictures.. I used mg potting soil, mg moisture control and mg perlite.... I am almost one month into this one...transplanted once.. Using 4 26 watt cfl's 6500k and one 42 watt cfl... Hopefully everything turns out well. Thanks again for all the great tips (wish I read about mg before using it!) (Pic looks like its drooping, just brought it out of the dark..)

look at the temp guage in last pic.. 77.9?.. a bit on the "high" side isnt it.. is it that way cuz u turned the fan off for the pics?

First off thanks for this thread, though I got the Fox Farm Ocean Forest tip early on from another thread. I tried growing in some MG potting mix, and it ended up completely burning my new sprout to a crisp. I started my next plant with the same mix but switched to the FFOF after reading some threads here.

Second, a question about the MG Perlite; I bought a bag one time to go with my FFOF, but noticed it says "Enriched with Miracle Gro Plant Food" so I ended up returning it. Is that plant food okay, or is it one of the dreaded "ferts" referred to early on in the thread?

Miracle Gro likes to add time-released ferts to its soil, sphagnum moss, and perlite, all bad for that reason.
