How to know when its done

Well iv been growing my plants since september n one is about 5 almost 6 ft tall n the other is around 3 ft tall! there both budding and both females. I know u need a magnify glass to see the little bubbles i think there called trinomes or something not really sure of the technical word for them but i know u have to wait till there clear for the bud to be done! but my cash flow is kinda shot due to 2 speeding tickets n school n all that! Is there any other way i can tell if there done ?>

ideally, look at the trichromes. You can pick when they are clear, but many wait until 1/2-2/3 turn milky or amber to try to get every last bit out of their grow.

Otherwise, the hairs will turn orange shortly before it's ready, but that's not really the best way to tell.

ok . . but do i NEED that maginify glass? or is there any other way of doing it !

yeah man you have the right idea using the magnifying glass but you got it backwards.

The trichomes start out as clear then turn amber the longer left during flowering. So most people wait till about 50% of the trichs have turned amber before harvest. I would look into getting like a 10x magnifying glass(battery powered) from radio shack! Good luck!
