There are a lot of seed banks that you can find on google that will send to US, just gotta search. Here are just a few that I found under a minute.

How many lights you need and how many watts that is required depends on the size of your grow room. The idea is you want as high of wattage as possible, the only real factor stopping highest wattage possible is heat. Of couse you can combat heat issues with air exchange and circulation. But a general rule is 50 watts per square foot.

If your getting air cooled lights, get good fans. Quality inline or centrifugal fans are well worth the investment.

If your going soil, I recommend the best quality organic soil you can find. And if you can, add in some compost to your soil mix. Your plants will love it. Also, if you got the extra $ to spend. Buy some vermiculite and perlite to add to your soil.

Smallest pot you want to grow in is 3 gallons when using soil. If you can, go straight for the 5 gallon.

As far as buying seeds I would order them through a friend have them delivered to thier residence or a p.o. box (if they'll do that) and have no part in buying them otherwise save the occasional seed in good nug or start with bagseed. If this is your first grow you are better off using bagseed... you dont want to fuck up 4 Cinderella 99 seeds at $120 per 10. right? Save the good shit for later. Besides any bagseed can be made into good quality sensimillla as long as there is no male around to knock her up, Also the DEA is in hot pursuit of online seed co.'s so Im not sure there is anywhere thats 100% safe to get seeds in the US anymore.

If you want to take the risk and go with a strain designed to be a low profile plant I would suggest Northern Lights or Lowryder if you are really trying to save space. Both plants grow very short and have a short flowering cycle making them ideal for indoor growing. Otherwise I would just read up on pruning techniques and top your plants to keep them trained.

As far as your setup you'll need a 400w HPS for the flowering cycle and a 400w MH for veg. Switchable ballasts are sold for about $200. You can always veg using flouro's or the HPS but it will cause the plant to be lanky. If you use flouro's use cool white (6500K) tubes for veg and warm white (3000K) tubes for flowering.

You'll want use organic fertilizers if you want the best tasting buds. Fox Farm Grow Big and Big Bloom as well as a bottle of Tiger Bloom will get you through several grows and improve your yield. They are about $16 a bottle. If money is no object go to a Hydro store and buy a bag of Foxfarm Soil for $20USD. Otherwise I would make my own mix, something like

1 Part Topsoil
2 Parts Potting soil (with no miracle grow or fertilizers!)
1 Part cow poo
1 Part vermiculite
2 Parts Perlite

Throw some earthworms in with the soil and use a 5 gallon bucket, if the taproot is given at least 4 inches of room to develop it will have a better chance of being female. Or use a 3 gallon container if you are strapped for space. Buy a pH meter, trust me. Water only when the soil is dry and not too often and follow the directions on the bottle of fertilizer. Also spray the leaves with a heavily diluted mix of fertilzer for a little added boost.

Good air circulation and light are essential for photosynthesis you should have a fan blowing toward the plant (not too hard) but about what it would be like if it were outside. This is important because as the plant respirates and breathes out its waste oxygen the air will stagnate and become stale around the leaves so you must have air circulating bringing as much fresh air in as possible. The slight breeze also makes the stem stronger. Make sure the light is well reflected around the plant and if you use HPS that its not too close or it will burn your ladies. Keep the temp between 70 and 85F for the best results and keep the humidity around 40%.

The most important thing is to not overanalyze your grow... once you get it set up and going dont mess with it a whole lot unless it needs water or to be pruned. The plant is well acclimated to most any environment so it will grow if you plant it and give it light, carbon dioxide, and water.

Sorry for the super long post... but if someone asks for advice on growing for the first time I cant help but pass on the knowledge
