CFL's plus HPS

Currently i am running around 120 watts of CFL's on 2 plants that are 3 1/2 weeks old. My plan as of now is to buy a 70 watt HPS and run this as well during flowering. Is this enough light for approximately a 1.75 x 2 grow area? I realize this is above the minimum watt's needed...but is it enough for a decent yield if all other factors (i.e. nutes, ph, soil) are perfect? input would be appreciated. Thanks.

oh yeah, also....im stupid for only growing 2 plants and i havent sexed them yet. if they both turn out male (please dont!) is it worth it to just continue growing them (in a completely different room that is cutoff from the room where i would keep females) under like 1 or 2 cfl's until maturity so i can cut them up and use them to make some hash? or is it just not worth it at all?

Just my thoughts...

I'd get a 250HPS instead of a 70. That will allow you room to expand in the future, plus a 70 is going to have a hard time getting light below the top layer of leaves.

It's entirely up to you if you want to keep growing the males, but I would just start over if I were you.

thats why i was talking about supplementing the 70watt hps with my current CFL setup. i might take up that advice on the higher watt hps but i amm concerned with a heat issue for the growing space i have.
