Just dont use no cheap ass cord. I've seen posts about fires being started because of cheap ass cords.

Do yourself a favor..

Either pay big bucks for a 12/3 cord....this would be the smallest I would use

or buy whatever lenght raw wire.....either 12/3 or ...better yet 10/3
then buy a 1 male an 1 female three wire heavy duty type ends . I suggest at least 20 amp rating. The make your own cord

12/3 or 10/3 cord will carry alot more amperage then your light will need to be safe.

the "standard" extension cords or usually 14/2 or 16/2 wire....the "heavy duty standard " are 14/3, or 16/3....because they have a third"green" ground wire ..

STILL....I wouldnt personnally use any wire smaller then 12/3...my first choice would be 10/3...That way you can sleep at nite an know your not going to wake up to yourfire alarm....

use a 2.5mm three core cable just put a power breaker on it instead of a plug and that will do! it will give u peace of mind 2.depends on wat lights ur using and how many amps ur pulling the more lights the heavier duty cable an then possibly a contactor and overload if ur really keen!
