Couple Lighting Questions
1. Could I grow a plant from start to finish using just a compactt flourescent light?

2. What are the advantages of a HPS light?

I have a few CFL's lying around in my house and if it won't make a difference if I use them or HPS lights then I'll probably use CFL's to save money.

Depending on the wattage of your CFLs, they probably put out between 1000-2000 lumens each ( I think). One 400 watt HPS bulb puts out about 10-20 times that much. I'm doing a lot of research into lighting before I commit to something, but so far it seems like lighting is something you don't want to skimp out on. I'm getting ready to just bite the pillow and spend some money on a good lighting system.

600w hps is the best....lol...honest...cant be arsed to explane any more now...lol..
