Question about plant genders

Hey everyone, first time grower here. I've never grown weed in my life, but I'm thinking about starting as soon as I get everything situated. What I wanna know is how can u tell if your plant is male or female?? And also, what does it mean by "sexing" the plant?? (I might as well as these questions before I start). That's the only thing I need help with, I got everything else down-packed in my mind.

The most asked question is how do you determine the sex of the plants? Unless you have feminized seed, you probably will get aprox. 50 to 70% female from your seeds. Sometimes you get lucky and do better, but most times you end up around 1/2 or a little more female.
