Switching between 18/6 and 24/0 veg

I am currently using 18/6 veg. I want to switch to 24/0. If I switch plants that are currently vegging over, will it cause them any harm just switching like that? Would it be best to just grow these plants out and just try 24/0 next grow?

try 20/4 first.. gradual steps like nature would do.

Re: Switching between 18/6 and 24/0 veg

There's a belief that females are more likely with an 18/6 cycle, if you are growing from seeds. 24 hours are good for growth but encourage hermies.

I can't say if the 18/6 works for females, but I've had plenty of hermies with 24 hour cycles.

Perhaps the 20/4 transition may help with that.

Go for 20/4 as they need some dark. Any additional light beyond 20 offers diminishing returns

To increase output density and yield while maintaining the plants in a manageable size suitable for my grow area.

Re: Switching between 18/6 and 24/0 veg

how is lighting time still a question. next time you turn ur plants on from their 6 hour useless sleep leave ur lights on till you done veggin. They won't get stressed and you won't harm your yield or anything. 24 hrs for vegging and 12/12 for flowering
