|  First Time Grower...Help me out please
Aight...im a long time smoker, but i've never tries my hand at growing my own plant(s). What do i need...being that its winter and its like 30 degrees here i'm gonna grow em indoors. Could someone kinda give me a "list" of what i need. "Soil,Lights,Fert,Light schedual, etc." All help appreciated Thanx. Toke up! |

almost blown, to start out... you knwo about the paper towel technique right.. well i found a way that is easier to use, and well also helps out in those cold times. seed starting there you go.... go there, i got mine from home depot it is a 72 count one, with a built in heating pad... for 40 bucks. worth it considering that you can rplace the jiffy disks in there, and it also helps out cause you can start up either 72, or however many you want to at that moment.. best of all no timers or anythign to set. jsut if you have cats, try to hide it somewhere like in a cabinet. my cats kinda hurt a few of my plants. well killed them.

| One more Question
Hey guyz, Thanx for all the help. One more question. I have a huge collection of seeds and i wanna know what the best seeds to grow are. Ex.Color,Shape etc... If you have obtained your seeds from a bag then you need to do some simple checks to see if the seeds are viable or not. One way to test yourself is to lightly squeeze the seed between your index finger and thumb. If it gets crushed, then it's no good. Usually white, dried up seeds are immature and will crush. Dark green, green or brown seeds are more apt to germinate well. You can't tell the sex of a plant by looking at the seeds. The are some theories here but there are no physical signs that one can use to distinguish male from female seeds.
