WW grow...how much stretch after 12/12?

I have 3 plants of white widow. These are feminized seeds, so i belive they should all be female.

This is my first grow, and I guess I didn't think too well...the largest one is about 3 in from the glass hood 600hps, the two others were smaller and will have the necesary room I"m hoping.

How much stretch will i get from WW on a 12/12? I suppose I can up the hood about another 6 inches, but that will require some serious carpentry.

Should I top it? Or is that not a good idea?

If it's like most strains, I think you can expect to double it's height once you flip the switch. You should be fine to top it if it's still vegging, but definitely don't top it after you begin the flowering cycle.

One option you have also, is to tie it down. even after you start flowering, it will be pretty tolerant of bending down the top branches and colas. You may be able to keep it low enough that way.

bend the top down, LST style, if you only got 3 going, you can space em next to eachother and have the light directly over em. factor in a little time for them to adjust to the LST on the top cola and then let em all grow in. on the 5th week of flower, release the LST main cola and allow em all to plump in naturally. I'm not certain that it will double its height on 12/12. Maybe I'm wrong....but I hope I'm not. I think i started vegging 3 months ago. As you can tell two of them have room to grow, the other has no more room. I have an option to raise the hood up a bit, I could build a chimney of sorts to house the hood, but I"m not sure what I'd do with the venting and the air filter. I could make it work I'm sure. But now I"m limited to working after 9pm, that might put a strain on myself...

While I'm at it, will it be of significant improvement to paint the walls flat mate white?
