How often do you guys water your indoor veg'n plants?

Im on my second year of doing a few cycles of indoor growing and want to make sure I don't run into a situation that i had happen last year.

Situation:
Many of my plants had the leaves roll under..like a upside down taco shell. Sort of a rolled under cup shape. Was not sure if it was over or under water. I tried to water more and water less and never did really find the solution.

My plants are in 5 gallon pots, and the plants are approx 20" tall in veg right now (growing large mums for clone purposes).

Ive been doing the usual, "when the soil is dry about 3" down i water them until water flows out the holes in the bottom."

Not sure im doing it often enough though.....maybe every 2 weeks, with a few small drinks in between of like a quart.

White Widow and Durban Poison strains

you may want to water more frequently. in my current grow, im watering about a gallon every 3-4 days, and that depends on how dry they are a couple of inches down. im using 3 gallon pots also.

Oh, by the way. I too was using 3 gallon buckets last year and had good success. But I did notice by the time my plants were harvested they were extremely root bound in those bucks. Limiting factor on the speed and size of growing. Anyhow I now have access to unlimited supply of 5 gallon buckets and 5,10,15 gallon potting buckets from a landscaping company. Though the plants did do fine in the 3 gallon buckets, ive noticed a very apparant difference in growth with the larger pots.
Just my two cents

i would love to go 5 gallon, but i think i would be a little nervous working with such a large plant. ive had good success with the 3's, ill continue to use them and have gotten up to 2 oz's off of one plant grown in a 3. im still growing the same sativa you got seeds from

Yea, I did, just harvested 10 plants. Funny situation. I forgot about the seeds and put them out late. 2" seedlings didn't go out until around June 15th. Anyway the ended up about 4 feet tall, with good yield. The reason I ask is, did you have any idea of what strain those were?

Of my 10 ladies, 8 were the same.......and 2 were different. I posted about them earlier. They had bright red/pink hairs......real wild looking and great smelling. Everyone seems to love the smoke of both of them. They did get pretty sticky icky such.

How about you did you grow the WW's?

damn 4 feet outdoors? what did the yield look like if you dont mind me asking? i didnt get a chance to follow any postings about those plants, im going to have to find it, because i was very curious to find out how others faired with them. its possible 2 of them could have got crossed with that indica dominant that i was growing also. that could explain the difference between the other 8. i have to agree with you 100% as far as taste and look goes. i really wish i did know the strain...i honestly have no clue what to think of its orgins.

i got a chance to grow out a ww, i got about a quarter off of it. i noticed they are hyper sensitive to any type of soil high in nutrients. ive got a couple more of those beans left that ill try to work with. germination rate wasnt too good. i lost about 9 seeds initially.

Well the WW's I have found to grow good in either Miracle Grow soil, K-Mart potting soil, or natural "dirt" i dug up in a sugar beat field. I have some pics off some growing indoor currently, they also clone very VERY easy.
Ive got plenty more of the seeds, i had about 70% germinate.....they seem to like it warm. If you want to try some more out, no biggie. I also have some durban poison.

Anyway, back to the sativa's. Well they produced about 4 ounces per plant. Now granted they never got topped, or even babied at all. I just planted them in a farmers field, watered them once mid veg during a dry spell. I think if I had got them out 2 weeks earlier and trained them or pinched the tops, they could of been 8 ounce plants.

For comparison, of those WW's. Last year I got 9.5 ounce from one. This year I got a few 6's, a 10 and a 14 ounce plant! Granted they got babied and were clones put out at 24" the last week of May. They had a solid 13 weeks to veg outdoors.....they got BIG! I had bud clusters over a gram each!

The sativa buds never got really huge, but i think it was due to low water. But the ones with the red hairs are wild. When cured the hairs turned a violet purple. Like I said everyone is just amazed at the look of it. I tried to clone a lower branch i harvested off one but it failed to grow.

Aye dread, all my plants in both flower or veg in 3 gallon pots get 1 gallon of water (give or take) every 3 to 4 days. I have a few two liter bottle pots also and I must hit them religiously every 3 days or they dry out. If I wait a week they start to droop badly.

yeah i cant go a week, and i have gone a week at a time in between waterings. im going to try to stay at every 3-4 days during this whole cycle. im going to see if having a more consistant water regime will help out with overall yield. and of course in a scrog, i dont want to see those leaves drooped all over the netting, that would probably look terrible.
