How to stop light from leaking out of the closet?

I have a problem, light leaks from the cracks in my closet and can be seen when it is dark in my room. I stopped it from leaking out of the bottom but putting a pair of jeans inside the closet, but I can't figure out how to stop the light leak from the sides of the doors. I tried hanging up garbage bags to stop the leak it works but makes it a pain in the ass when I have to open the door. Any suggestions?

Try some weatherstriping tape.

Just a question,

How do you keep your temps down with the closet all the way closed? That's the problem I'm running into right now so my closet is just always open lol.

i would use aluminum tape directed towards the light over the spaces.

I don't really know how my temps were kept down. I use a 250 watt hps/mh and when I left it on 24/7 the highest the temps got were the high 80's and on 12/12 it doesn't get hot at all.
