Those girls are looking really healthy man. I want good smells coming from my room soon too. Your light setup is EXCATLY what I am looking to do right now, except I am going to do one plant for my first grow. If you don't mind me bugging you, could you give me some info on that lighting setup? I am going to do soil only because I am limited on space right now.

Re: A question about CFL

ya man its just some flood light sockets[i got the flood light at walmart for 6 bucks].theres 2 sockets on each flood light.took them apart there screwed in there.and unwired them.they just have the crimp wire nuts on them.took 5 mins to take apart 4 flood lamps.went to home depot bought a replacment drill cord[4/5 bucks].and some wire nuts,7 y splitters and electrical tape[about 20 bucks].i had a 3/4 in peice of pvc so i used it as the bar.drilled pilot holes with a bit smaller than the screw for the sockects evry 4 1/2 in apart.startin from whatever your center point is[aka the middle lmao].once i did that i attached the sockets to the bar.i only used the wire that came with the flood lamps it was exactly enough.used the wire nuts to hook it all up and taped everything down.the reflectors are made from soda cans theres a link on the first or second page of my journal on how to make them.and thats how i made mine.hope it helps if you got anything else i can help you with if i can answer it i will.good luck

Re: A question about CFL

im pretty sure the standard setup should be 6 26 watt bulbs with a combined total of about 160 watts for the whole cycle just you switch between the different spectrums. for example you will end up buying 12 bulbs( home depot sells a 6 pack of 26 watt cfls for 12 bucks!) 6 in the daylight spectrum and 6 in soft white spectrum. Then just switch between the spectrums for the veg stage and the flowering stage.

Re: A question about CFL

I'm currently using 5 26 watt 6,500k CFL's. I'm just switched the light cycle for 12/12 for flowering, plant is pretty big. I do leave it outside while there is direct sunlight available tho, check it out...

Re: A question about CFL

100 watts for first plant, 50 additional watts for each plant. 6500k for veg. 2700k for flower

some people have had luck with less wattage. im using 5x23watt 6500k and have 3 42watt 2700k waiting for flower time. im going to leave 2 of the 6500k along with the 3 2700k
