How many Cfl's do i need.

Okay so i just got my mmj card and im trying to grow my first indoor setup . im only trying @ one plant right now.
but im wondering how many cfl's would i need to grow it realitivly quickly and what kind?

Get a pack of 4 26 watt Daylights for now. That would be good enough to veg 1 plant.

100 watts for the first plant, 50 additional watts for every added plant.

But of course, if the heat level permits, have as many as possible. The more wattage, the more lumens, and that means more growth.

okay,well i just went down to the hardware store and checked it out, but here's were my depression sets in .
to start my setup the price comes out to nearly 80 dollars for the 4 daylights around 30 bucks but then i need the lighing fixture which cost 27 dollars for 2 bulbs.

do daylight fluro's come in actully bulbs or only the strips?

is it even worth the money becuase a friend offered me a hps light for 50 dollars?

a little help please??

forget a fixture. and $30 sounds insanely high for 4 bulbs. buy a power strip, edison connections, and y splitters to make your own fixture.

If the HPS has the ballast, socket and everything with it id definatly buy that instead of the CFLs. What watt did he say it was? If you cant get that you can go to wal-mart and get these...

...a 6 pack is only $15. Then get one of the clamp shop lights with the reflector on it (only about $10) and 3 "Y" socket adapters (might have to go to lowes for these).

okay. well budzilla those bulbs look like regular soft white cfl's which i can get no problem, but do they sell bulbs those style in the daylight kind..

but hey stoner,
grab some 2700k bulbs later on for flower. Switch out most of your "blue" bulbs with these when it comes time.
I use 4x 2700ks 23w |||||| 3x 6500ks 26w |||||| 1x 5000k 27w for flower in my small box. I stay about equal 4 "red"/ 4 "blue" bulbs staggered in their setup. (red, blue, red, blue) The plants love it.
