| 12/12 from seed
I found this link with interesting information about starting your seeds from a 12/12 lighting cycle. It will harvest a smaller amount of bud and won't get as big but that it exactly what i want. Because i have a some what small amount of space and a want to harvest within about a month or so. Here is the link: 12/12 From Seed: A Different Way To Grow - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums Lemme get your guys input. Tell me what you think |

Just remember, flower time doesnt change just cause you don veg, youre still going to have to flower for 7 to 10 weeks. Thats a long time to wait for one small plant.. Just my opinion.. Id get your stuff together and at least get a couple plants in there. Not bashing the technique, Ive been doing a lot of clone to flower.

| "Heavy as Lead" | Re: 12/12 from seed How is that saving you ANY time or space? They are just now pre-flowering, how long has this 12/12 been going now? Why did you choose to go that route, you obviously had the room to let your plants grow to three feet, BEFORE flowering. Come on guys, you are getting nothing from that. During a normal veg your plants need light to grow. You are much better off with an 18/6 schedule. You will see much more vigorous growth, which is what you want to be able to flower as soon as possible right? I have not heard of one person who has done some grows that has tried this with good results. If it was such a good idea, wouldn't it be more widely accepted as a good method? New growers, fine, experimenting and finding out what works for you is what it's all about, but there are some times when tried and true methods are the most logical way to go.

Perfect example. Smaller plants means quicker turnover, less space, and a perfect way to learn growing and your plants. For someone growing theyre own meds, trying to be self sufficient in a cost effective way this method can be great! Id suggest developing a system though. Not 12/12 from seed, but clone. Get some moms and experiment with cloning, veg time, nutes, all that. Youre wasting a lot of seeds doing 12/12 from seed.

I don't understand your post. You totally contradict yourself. You say a lot of people use it, it's a good method, but then that 12/12 from seed is not a good idea, it's clones you wanna go with.
