I hope legalization happens in my lifetime.

I applaud your willingness to pay further tribute to the machine (kinda patriotic), but taxation should not be a prerequisite of legalization. CA comes to mind.

Those who advocate a tax on medical marijuana either have too much money or not enough foresight. They want to give us an ultimatum.... "pay us or we'll continue to oppress you" - That might sound like a threat to a sovereign individual Any free-thinkers out there? Or maybe you like being hearded, idk, a great many are quite content to follow blindly as evidenced by the shambles we used to be proud to call America.

Have some dignity. Don't play by their rules just to get what you want. There are ramifications to all legislation. Think about future generations. Our gov is supposed to serve the people, not the other way 'round

I, for one, would never support legislation enforcing taxation on MMJ

I grow legally but now that I've done it, I think I would be very much like you. I'd miss it, the growing and I wouldn't want to have to find all new connections in a new place. It's dangerous enough in the state I grew up in, moving to a new state and having to deal with strangers at first,....fuck that. I too, would set up a micro grow to keep my own head satisfied. Maybe a small perpetual.

Either way, I quoted Chuck above because that right there is primo advice. +rep to Chuck for watching the blades backs

Well said ricard0. IMO I already pay way too much in taxes while my civil liberties continue to degrade with every passing year.

Re: Is your grow Legal?

Just to clarify - I'm not condoning taxation.....just talking about the article in Fortune mag.

A couple of quotes: "There was a whole older generation of Americans who didn't know the difference between marijuana and heroin. Now that generation is mostly gone."

and ""Marijuana, in its natural form, is one of the saftest therapeutically active substances known to man," an administrative law judge ruled in 1988."

I am simply advocating the legalization of mj but I too fear that the regulation and taxation may offset the benefits of legalizing it. But if I can just grow my own without fear of the Big Bad Knock on the door, that would be good enough for me.

Re: Is your grow Legal?

Well, In this state, I could probly still get like 5 years for a small grow on in the back shed.. They'd probly charge me cause I've got kids in the home, even though it wouldn't be in the home it'd be in the shed.. I'm just having trouble trying to decide.. I love it dearly, but I raise my kids alone.. Trying to think through the ramifications in all the circumstances that could arise.. Hard choices... Why can't the US just decriminalize it damnit.... - what should I do people?

What's more important to you? Raising your children outside of the social services system, or fighting for what you believe is right? Tough choice isn't it? A choice you shouldn't be forced to make.

My two rusty coins... Go legal man. Taxation on MMJ isn't a reality yet. Plus you'll at least have a defense if you're ever raided. You can still help fight the good fight. I refuse to judge you myself. Kids, no kids, legal or not, you should have the indisputable right to grow any plant that predates mankind by a few millennia..... as long as it doesn't eat people whole ha ha.

Exactly. 'Cause all Americans should be treated differently according to the state in which they reside

Sad but true... we are

I like states rights and think the Feds should let the states decide on intrastate commerce.
