Cfl scrog

I feel like such a newbie posting this, but summer time has came to an end, and I'm getting close to picking my last girl outdoor, so I'm planning on my indoor now. I've never attempted the SCROG method and have been looking into it. I do have access to all the hps I want, but I would like to attempt it with cfls. Mainly because of the heat issues, and space. Its in a closet I can't really just cut holes and all in to vent. Would this cause much loss? Also, does anyone know of any good step by steps on the SCROG method?

I know this is kindve impossible to answer, but if had 4 females, with 400 watts of cfls, doing the SCROG method, SOIL, In 3 gallon containers fed properly, vegged for 5 weeks, and then finished, around what sort of average could I yield? Yield is going to be my main objective on this grow.

also, if I took the tubular flouros, and stuck to the sides how much would this help, for an extra 80 watts of light? Does the SCROG method take up that much space? Could I accomplish 4 in an area 6 ft wide, but only 2 foot deep?

What other types of high yielding methods are there? Lsting I hear, and have seen is good, but the scrog seems much more effective. and looks like it could really work great with cfls.. thanks guys

i just started my first grow a month ago so as far as yield i have no idea.but i also have a tight space [a gtr half stack]and its all cfls check out my grow you might get some ideas man.and just read man read all the stickies and everything you can find.and when youve had enough reading read some more lol.

Yeah, I've definitely done lots of reading, just venturing out into a whole new world now, with the closet, being the closet isnt but like 2 foot wide, could I make a table and have some growing under and then on top of the table, so pretty much like make it 2 story? I as long as each one of them has the same light rig up and fans and such right? With taht in mind, does anyone know of any good in depth guides and information on scrog? I've looked and searched, but its never anything definite, or specific to needing to know exactly what to do. I did see some awesome grows though..

from what ive read ,seen and witnessed in my grow there really isnt an answer for that.every strain is different every setup is different.so you kinda just gotta take a bit from them all and see what works for your space and grow set up.as far as the self idea ya you could set up a seed,cloning and veg box with the flower chamber on top.give you a cont.grow setup.but the more you read and the more you plan the less prob you will have,and it will be a much more rewarding expierence and it just gets better from there.good luck man

yeah, great idea. I just looked at a how to scrog thread, and I'm wondering, does the growth tep at the top of the plant just weave in and out of the wire and the branch below the screen grow up to it, or do you weave the new growth (top of plant) in and out the holes with the branches hitting the bottom of each hole and growing thru? I'm so confused

ive been keeping all the growth below the screen on mine.but now that its in flower ill let just the flowers come up thru it .all the veg stays below the screen.just the flowers thru it,hope that helps man.theres some pretty decent pics of it it my grow log.check them out .

wow, your grow looks great. theres just so many leaves I can't tell what the main stalks doing, so its just pressed up against the bottom side of the screen with all the branches growing thru the screen? I mean basically your lsting it flat to the screen and focusing on each branch by putting them thru the holes? what path do you usually use? do you run down one side the screen and back up the other?

It seems a little complicating, but I think I'm getting it. Once the stalk is 8 inches (to where the screen is at) you just let it grow thru a hole, and then pull it back in, and let it grow horizonally across the bottom of the screen, shooting each branch out at a hole, correct?

Then when the screen is 50-60% full you can flower it out? I believe I got it, thanks for your help man..
