Re: L.E.D. 1st Grow

Ok, thats helps cause I was worried about leaving the solution in the bucket for too long like over 7-10 days. But that makes more since with the 5 gal. buckets cause of the volume. I ended up adding about 3 gal. nute solution and its about i inch from the bottom of the net cup leaving about an inch of roots showing. One plants I had to add a little more due to the size of the net cup was smaller. So I'll try leaving the nute solution in the bucket for about a month adding as needed to keep proper level and when I change my formula thats when I change bucket. Cool, thanks for the help man. Also, I need a little guidance in trimming my plants. I clipped some of the lower branches but stopped there. I need to trim some more I think but not sure, but some plants have too much growth and I want to make sure new growth gets light too.

Re: L.E.D. 1st Grow

Nice Grow Bro! anyine checked out Gro light specs i bought a LED grow light pretty cheap. first thing i noticed after a week is much hardier stems and a beautiful color to leaves. I was F' ing amazed on how bright the light is for low power. I'm not telling you to get rid of and current equipment, but in my opinion as a 18 year grower is add LED for spectrum u can run the big light less. and for sure you can switch to LED's for small plants and i now use them exclusively for veg. bloom is HPS and now LED enhancement!
definitely check them out prices are great.

give them light and they will grow!
give them love and they will give it back!

Re: L.E.D. 1st Grow

Have you got any pics of these LED grown plants & what type of LED are you using ? I talked to a distributor & told him I had a 6x6 veg room. He told me I would need his 600 watt for veg....WTF....Than he told me to flower I would have to do it right with multiple units, multiple 600 watt units. I guess this makes sense since my buddy with the shop told me 9 UFOs over a 4x4 table only produced a 1/4 oz. He said same thing you did. He said they started off great & he was like wow.....Than the growth slowed to almost nothing. The distributor I was talking to was being honest. He knew I was looking for a deal, he is local, & gave it to me straight up. If you wanted to properly flower 6 plants I would need 4- 600 watt units mixed w/ CFLs. If I was to pay retail that would put me at about $10,000 in lights for my vegg & bloom room. I told him what I have now. 1- 1000 watt for flower, and about 600 watts worth of CFLs for vegg. My whole setup runs under 2000 watts right now.
This kicks out the energy saving cause of the amount of LEDs you must use in your application. I can run an a/c for under what the LEDs cost to run.
LEDs are very expensive 5 times the cost of the top of the line HID/CFL equipment.
LEDs lack the warmth the plants need to grow. When the sun hits something what happens ? Whatever it hits warms up, including plants. So plants do need warmth. I'm not out to hate on LEDs. I actually love the idea but the technology is an inch away. After talking to many many people on LEDs I come to find out they are just great for cuttings as they require low light. Maybe if you have the right spectrum & enough power you could probably veg your plants nice, I'm still looking for the LED that will do well for babies, mothers, & teens. If there is one proven I will buy it. They have the right idea but the TV ain't in color yet if you catch my drift. Maybe if they started using 10 watt HO diodes I think it will work. I almost went against what my friend told me & almost bought one. When I talked to the distributor & drillled him, he gave me the real deal on LEDs. I'm glad he was honest, however there are so many types & combinations I do believe someone has the right veg light but who ? I seen peoples popcorn not so dense buds on you tube & pics & you have to sit back & ask, are LEDs worth it yet ? If anyone comes across a proven LED that can handle moms, babies, & teens please show it to me. I wanna buy it. I really did alot of homework as Im in SoCal & it gets hot. I was looking for a way to beat the heat. One of the dispensaries here had a 600 watt over a 4x4 table of cuttings for sale & thats what got me going on research. I did so much research that I can now buy them from China directly for $650 for a 600 watt. Now knowing I need like 4 for my application & wouldn't actually save on wattage I decided against blloming with these & feel a 600 watt to properly veg saves me nothing when the unit is so much. They are almost there but as of right now they are selling a dream. That's just my opinion but I'm also wanting to test it myself. Anyone have any real results that are non bias ?

Dont go for the cheap ones they never do what they say. You want something that will last at least 10 years. The way I look at it do I go out and buy a rice burner or do I go and get a good Almost American bike, there is always something on the bike that is not made in the states. I like to support my country somehow even though the goverment does not. Yes for the good stuff you always have to pay someone some good hard earned cash.

Re: L.E.D. 1st Grow

Well my plants are up to 9 inches tall. Still using the cfl's. Moved lights up to a foot above plants tops to make plants grow taller. When they get about a foot I am going to start flower cycle.
