I cannot express to anyone who attempts to grow the importance of keeping good notes and to take good data.

It might be a PITA to keep a spiral notebook, but you will really appreciate it when you finally get all the kinks worked out on your growing.

I record weekly what I mixed up for the "soup" and TDS readings.

I'm the opposite... I do it like I cook... A little of this, a little of that...by eye. And then watch the plants. I keep it simple. No fancy additives.

That's good for hydro growers who have a zillion things to keep track of...

That was one of the things pointed out as to why some people get turned off to hydroponics, and that is it requires a lot of attention and to detail.

Since you don't have a "buffer", mistakes are pretty instantaneous.

Since I kept very good data and fine tuned my process, now it is "duck soup" to get a batch growing and with consistent potency at the end.
