dude you cant make the buds grow exactly where you want them to. maybe i'm wrong though. the point in scrog(screen on/of green) is to manipulate how far out the plant grows. i'm not really sure but i think you do it so you can maximize your growing space and manipulate the lighting easier.....i'm not an expert or anything. http://growscrog.com/home.php

thanks dread, i kinda know what im doing now
2 things tho, what big name stores sell good chicken netting or whatever it is you use? and the other question: would it be viable to tie them down too so that all the bud branches push upwards? i would assume this would work great because the netting is also there to guide them and prevent them from falling over these things are still very manadable so somone answer fast i wanna tie them down tonight |

sup B, i found chicken wiring at walmart and kmarts, i think ace hardware has it also if you have one around you. if you cant find it at any of those places, you could always check with the local feed store. it doesnt have to be just chicken wire. some of the wire i saws diameter werent not large enough to train a plant through. as far as tying them down, whatever you feel works to fill that screen. thats all youre really doing just control the verticle growth.

scrog
I just threw my plants into 12/12 about 3 weeks ago but i had a floro that was giving off light underneth my three big plants. they are about 3 feet high and basiclly hitting my lights i am going to scrog and get some 10-60-10 fertilizer this weekend as i was advised by shade 420 but my question is when i put the chicken wire should i pull the plants threw it or let them naturally go since they are so very big???

if youre 3 weeks into flowering, youre too late. your vertical growth has prolly slowed down and will not grow much more. maybe if you did this 3 weeks before flowering, you woulda have got it. you may jus have to wait till next round, and to prepare, if you have sex showing, take some female clones for this project
