I think I have a triploid, with pics.

Is this a triploid? It seems apparent but I hear they are really rare so I'm trying to see for sure. It has a sibling of exact same age which is much taller so it seems this one is a runt as of yet. This one was placed in soil 3 days ago under 24/7 light - 800 lumens/sq. ft. 5500K CFLs (4) about 5 inches away as soon as its root tip emerged from the seed.

Thanks! here is a pic of its' sibling of same age and the original pic with my hand in it so you can actually see how tiny this little girl (hopefully) is! i sure hope i can keep this little baby alive. i cannot find a lot of info on triploids, only that perhaps they tend to be sickly and that they have not been able to breed them stably from male and female triploids, so it is most likely a random trait. Any more info would be appreciated.

Well I have never researched (let alone known about) a triploid marijuana plant, but i'm pretty sure that if you give it enough water and light it should grow just like any other plant...marijuana is a weed so they shouldnt have too much problem growing even with 3 leaves to start off with

yes this little girl is gonna get special treatment now that I know she is special. I have devoted light on her now. The only thing I have given her other than bottled water is superthrive one time yesterday. will keep posting on its progress.

Hey buddy Mariajuana is a plant/Flower not a weed. It grows in the ground just like an ordinary plant. Why do you think it FLOWERS??? because its a weed?? LOL

That is a sick plant, just keep your eye on it. If you see my post for my indoor my plant was a the smallest thing ive ever seen, just took care of it and now she is huge and bushy. Good Luck

Society coins phrases NOT the government you ignorant fool. Saying marijauna isn't a weed because it flowers has got to be by far one of the dumbest statements I've EVER heard. The definition of a weed classifies it by it's use not how it looks. I'm sitting on my porch and right now I see at LEAST 10 different flowering "herbs". We have use for the plant, but those that don't smoke it have all the right in the world to call it a weed. Do you know what it's called when you try to state something with absolutely no prior knowledge on the subject? It's called an idiot's opinion and so far most of the people that have posted here show no facts just plain ignorance. At least look the word up before you try acting intelligent.

People seem to think that because cannabis is reffered to as "weed" that it's some sort of super plant that will grow no matter what. Really it requires just as much care as any other plant.

Yes, sorry growinbudz, i think you miss understood me, what i was trying to say, is that marijuana can grow even under some of the worst conditions (or being a triploid), simply because it grows like a weed, i wasn't using it in a dergogetory way.

I hear ya, and I know you weren't trying to be derogatory, I just think we need to move away from terms like "weed" and "marijuana", as both have negative connotations.
