Planning Operations 30+

Hi everyone! I'm new here.
Alright well I'll just start from the top.
I have a place out in a rural area, the perfect garage, heated, wired everything.
The good thing is its a 3 cop town and they don't bust for weed cause they care more for the people then busting them.
I do understand the fact that an insanely high electric bill will give them a very good excuse to bring in another type of cop.
We have a 30x30 area but I doubt we'll use all of it.
We're looking to make a decent amount of money without bringing up tons of heat.
We have everything taken care of besides the growing so don't worry about that
I kinda wanna stay under 3600 extra watts.
I mean me and my buddys that live with me we all have gaming computers and everything.
Our comps alone consume 2000 watts and they never turn off + 2 big screens
and a 40,000 watt sound system but that's not on much,
I have no problem playing the bills on time at all, keep in mind this is in BC Canada.
Since some people said that was very important ( duh )

I'm open to any suggestions or comments, I'm very intellectual, but I'm still new.
I've been reading for 48 hours straight now lol I'm stoked as hell.
I know that my set up might not be QUITE enough power.
But I want to know if it will still work and work well.

I was planning on having 4 hydro sets 4x4 and having 15 plants on each.
Along with a drip set for the mothers and a cloning set up.
2 veg and 2 flower = 60 plants total harvesting 30 every 2 months.
I was planning on having 4-430 watt HPS 59,000 lumens.
With 2, 2foot, 2bulb t5's both spectrum's on the top/sideish area, would both of those combined be good enough?
If not would 4-600 watt HPS + the t5's be good enough? I hope so...I can't run 1000's.
I'd also have 2, 4 bulb, 4 footers one for the clones and one for the mothers.
Along with the entire area having walls built around it covered in Mylar.
Oh and I also was reading up on SOG and all that stuff, is it fitting for me do? and should I do that?
Or when do you do that, and for what reason.

I'm new as well but that doesn't sound like enough lighting. Maybe do less plants and more light and grow bigger better plants instead of a bunch of average?

Re: Planning Operations 30+

Don't worry about what I'm in it for, I just need help with the questions I'm asking.
I don't think I'll be able smoke 5+ pounds every 2 months haha =P
I won't get caught. I'm not the one dealing with anyone, I'm the one growing it in the best place possible just chillin.
Please and thanks <3
I could do the 600's with t5's on each

I've seen this around:
* A 250 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 2.5 foot by 2.5 foot grow area. (6 plants or less)
* A 400 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 4 foot by 4 foot grow area. (12 plants or less)
* A 600 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 5 foot by 5 foot grow area. (18 plants or less)
* A 1000 watt fixture will supply enough light to cover a 6.5 foot by 6.5 foot grow area. (30 plants or less)

But I'm gonna have the 600+ 100 watts on each side of the plants with t5's
making a total of 800 spread out evenly around the plants.
I know I've heard 50-100 watts per plant I'll be getting 55ish per plant but more evenly spread.

Re: Planning Operations 30+

Maybe my setup is overkill then lol.... I'm going to be using a 1000w HPS setup for... 4 plants.

I have yet to grow a plant, but i have been researching for about 7 months now. I think that's the perfect amount of lighting to grow some good looking plants. The 600 watt bulb is gunna produce more than the 430 watt (400 watt is too low for 15 plants). The supplemental T5's at an angle or from the side will provide some decent light to the bottom bud sites and promote those to grow more than they mould without the light. But yeah man it sounds like a damn good setup the way you described it.
