You can grow under either spectrum. I also do the majority of my plants 12/12 from seed, or 24/0 for two weeks and then switch to 12/12. They usually stand 24"36 inches tall and produce around 2 ounces of dried bud per plant, under a 250w HPS. I grow in water, so the results will be slightly diff. than yours, but if space is an issue I must recommend 12/12 from seed. -C

Like two weeks after that he switched to a 150hps and dammm....yea those shits are way to expensive and not enough light..get sum flouros they work better

OK I finally got my red lights in... I still have not made the box for it, as it will need to be taller... i went ahead and put one plant (the badly stretch one) and put it under it inside a trash can (till i make a box) it veged very well in the time it was in the blue veg box... No signs of nute burn from the miracle grow soil... I don't think I have watered in like 2 weeks... (surface of soil still damp) anyways, mmy question now is, is there any nute or fertilizer that I should use for the flowering stage??? im pretty sure it would have to be in hella small doses due to the fact, that you never have to water these things... |

i have an all blue, for vegging... I have been using it.. and for being only 13.8 watts, and the fact that I have watched it veg nine seedling(after 3 weeks prolly have to cut down to 4).. and $35. im impressed with them to this point to be honest with you.. i have been torturous to these things being experimental with my first grow... they still look healthy... the blue has preformed well... the red, we will see... to be honest with you, they are no where near as bright as the blue was... then again, its a whole different light spectrum.. its all about experimentation... so ill stick out and see..

Hi there I've enjoyed reading your post so far, the uber-stealth grow ops are really fun for me to read about. Plus I'm intrigued by LED grows, you've got a double-point interesting grow! The one thing that I would really focus on, it's been mentioned and linked to by Version 2, is some sort of carbon filter. As your plants continue to grow, they're ganna start smelling. This is ganna be a big enemy for you. I'm sure you're already working on this and planning it out, just something I wanted to mention again Also, if you can rig together even a couple small 80mm PC fans for the ventilation/carbon scrubber, the air motion will help strengthen the stems up too, acting like the wind in nature and all.Again, this has been a fun grow for me to watch, keep up the stealth and pure LED action! I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out for you, best of luck! ![]() EDIT: Just remembered, in addition to hydro stores, are there any nurseries or garden centers in your area? Sometimes these places are more likely to keep their soil indoors, greatly lessening the chance that you'll buy soil with bugs and stuff already in it. Check your yellow pages, hopefully there's a store like this around Last edited by agent601; 12-12-2008 at 06:17 AM. Reason: added some stuff |

i have had streap throat or something, so I still havn't built a budding box... the plant under the red light seems to have some branch growth... thats it so far... however, another plant that is still in veg (however long its been, it was one of the first ones) is showing pre flowers... (is it common to pre flower this early??/ there are only 8-10 leafsets on the plant thats showing them)... strain is unknown bag seed (not very good bag weed either lmao) |

Oh yeah by 8-10 nodes they are about a foot tall and will flip balls or pistils all on their own.

And with bagseed, unless you know what strain it was and how it was grown, you don't know if it's shitty genetics or shitty growers. I'm experimenting with a bagseed I got with some super shitty dirt weed. Tons of seeds and stems so I'm suspecting it's the grower just half-assing it and letting them just grow with seeds n everything. I have it growing and I believe it's a female, so I will find out if it's any good in a few months
