About Ballast (MH or HPS)

I want to know what is MH or HPS mean? when I went go to store today and Im curious looking around but I don't understand with stuff?

what store have it:
- HPS 400 Kit Basic
- 1000 W Switchable MH or HPS 120 - 240
- HPS 400 Kit Wired
- HPS 1000 Kit Bare Bones
- Electronc 1000W HPS (Can ignite both MH and HPS lamps)
- HPS 1000 W Ballast
- HPS 600 W
- MH 1000 Kit Wired
- MH 1000 Bare Bones
- MH 400 Kit Wired
- MH 400 Bare Bones

seem like 11 different Ballast but I don't understand with "MH" or "HPS" mean?

If I want less 40 grow then which one is best for me to get?

which I should get ballast (MH or HPS) for better marijuana with bigger buds, for 40 grow marijuana or less 40 grow marijuana with bigger buds then which one I should get best for me? because I am not experience before in my own life, sometime I feel like Im stupid and an idiot person but I am serious to pay attention and learn stuff because I do love Marijuana.

Its always good to get mh and hps, but wattage and how many depends on how much room you have and how many plants.

Well, say for instance a 400W Light will do a 4x4 foot area, or 4 plants.
So theoretically, for 40 plants, you would want four 1000W lights.
Thats a lot of light, but there are ways of using less light with the same amount.

good question, my guess would be 40 grow plants or less 40 grow plants, not more than 41 grow plants for my protect and safe. I really not experience before like I never done before in my own life, I just know my step dad, my uncle, my mom and my friends, they done many times, I saw it many times but I did ask them? never because I am too scare if I did ask them then they would knew it that I would plan for my own, which would be too risk so I have a idea to find internet and I can see anyone who know about everything more than I am, so I like discuss and anyone can explain me, I would love to learn education about stuff then I will try do it for my own.

are you kidding me? why my step dad have only 1,000 watt lights for 70 between 80 grow plants when I was teenager and I do remember, I saw it and it's was good grow buds but how my step dad did? how he did?

My advice to you is start small and work your way up. Make all the mistakes and learn by them, lots of help here. Buy a pack of 10 seeds and start a few off. You should get some female plants and practice. If you make big mistakes at this point you wont lose so much.

You can buy more equipment as you get better.

What is your 1st language ?

True, mean my first time for 1st grow plants then I should try 10 grow plants for first time?

Again, thats just theoretically, you can always scrog or LST and do different things to lower the lights.
