Re: side by side comparison of nutrient lines!!!

IMHO any nute line you choose will work well. I'm not a big fan of the side by side run b/c they only used General Hydroponics. I have used AN, and Fox Farm, Ionic, Technaflora, Botanicare. IMO they all work well and I pretty much got the same results. I do know their sweetleaf is a rip b/c it is basically Molasses w/ some minor additives.

AN will work well with RO, as will almost any other nute line on the market, the only exception would be Ionics hard water line.

Actually if you read the whole article they used much more than "only General Hydroponics"

I QUOTE "asking a Health Canada-licensed medical marijuana grower to set up a test grow room that compared nutrients produced by six companies: Advanced Nutrients, GrowTek, Canna, Supernatural, General Hydroponics, and Dutch Master."

If i count corectly they tested Advanced Nutrients against SIX other companies. So im not quite sure why you would not be a big fan of side by side runs. They show what the differences are between the nutrient line. And obviously here AN soared above the rest.

Re: side by side comparison of nutrient lines!!!

I liked the coined "MGDS" acronym. The site looks like a front for an advertisement .

Anyway. When I finally settled down and got lazy I chose the Lucas method with General Hydroponics. I use a little less N before flowering because I got the claw a few times. 2:1 is as easy as it gets.

As lessismore said You can go any route as long as your using the right recipe

Re: side by side comparison of nutrient lines!!!

I saw the video of this experiment. It was done up pretty good. What they don't tell you is the whole study was sponsored and hosted at an Advanced Nutrients medical grow-op. Remo works for AN and hosts a grow show called Urban Grower. Urban Grower is like a big commercial for AN on the most part. I don't think any of the other nutrients they used had a snowballs chance in hell at getting a fair shake in that study. Only the AN plants looked like they where being cared for aggressively. The others look kinda sick and skinny.

I like the AN products, they might even be the best. Just this study was a hoax/sham and not a very good one. It's like having Ford test Dodge and Chevy trucks off-road and tell you the results are scientific and unbiased.

Take it for what it is.

Re: side by side comparison of nutrient lines!!!

You also have to cinsider how they did their concentration dilutions; i.e.: Dutch Masters requires almost twice as much per gl than AN.

I also wonder why they only chose those nutes to compare. If they truly wanted to prove themselves would'nt have made more sense to go up againt Botanicare, Fox Farm, Technaflora, Floranova, and Ionic? One or more these 5 are at the top of any grower's list. AN are excellent nutes, I just feel they are too pricey compared when compared to others that pretty give the same results. To me, I prefer Botanicare, presently use Technaflora BC products, but still use the Botanicare Cal/Mag. My last run was with AN products given to me as samples from a hydro store, it was just enough for a complete grow, I do not see where it worked any better than Technaflora, and the Technaflora was about $7 cheaper per liter. Just MHO.
