I'm not positive but I would say you will need one for each fan. The DC adaptors I've seen only have one port but they may sell them with multiple ports. I should have been an electrician then I could wire up my whole grow room perfectly and help people more thoroughly wit electrical questions.

if you wire the fans up in series, one 12v dc power supply *should* be plenty to power two 120mm fans. check the amp rating

By the way, if you are uncertain about the fact that your computer fan has three wires and your 12 volt power supply has two here is what you do. Splice the yellow and red (switch and positive) wires together. The yellow wire is a switch which could be used to control whether the fan is on or off but in your case you will want it on all of the time. Splicing them together should make it run full time. Before you get everything set in stone just touch the wires together and make sure the fan is spinning in the right direction. Good luck! Last edited by Azureblue; 07-25-2008 at 09:31 PM. |

![]() When using less than enough voltage the fan will spin slowwer and wont last nearly as long, and if want the fan to move the air it was designed for you need the right amt. of miliamps,if using a comp. power supply make sure you use the same voltage, most have 5v and 12v IIRC. There is a big thread here somewhere all about the comp fans and the install complete with all the wiring too,do a search bro,you will find it. ![]()
